NH Telecommunications Equipment Assistance Program Providing Telephones to people with disabilities Banner
Funded by the Governor's Commission on Disability, this program provides telephone equipment at little or no cost to people who have a disability. If you live in the state of NH and have trouble using a standard phone, this program is for you! Best of all, we are not a retailer! We are simply here to help provide you with the equipment necessary to communicate using the telephone!

Who qualifies for the program?

To qualify for the program each applicant must :
  • Have a disability (hearing, vision, cognitive, mobility, etc.) that makes it difficult for them to use the phone.
  • Be a New Hampshire resident.
  • Complete the application and provide the required documents.
  • That's it!

What about income qualifications?

Everyone who meets the qualifications above is eligible to receive some assistance regardless of income.
Let's look  at how it works... 

No Cost Option

  • If your income is at or below the income eligibility limits, our program coordinator will help you decide on the equipment, NH-TEAP will purchase the equipment and loan it to you indefinitely at no cost.

OR 

Shared Cost Option

  • If your income exceeds the income eligibility limits, our program coordinator will help you decide on the equipment, you will purchase the equipment and NH-TEAP will reimburse you for 50% of the cost.

What kind of equipment is provided?

While we don't directly sell equipment here, we understand there is a vast array of equipment on the market. It can often be difficult choosing a telecommunication device and the equipment options can be overwhelming.  Our program coordinator is here to  assist you in deciding what equipment will best meet your needs.  Here are just a few of the many options available:
